Look, I know it. You know it. The world knows it. The Dark Knight and Batman Begins before it, were just too damn successful to be ignored. At some point in the next year or two we will see evidence of a new Batman movie, at least one to round out a trilogy. Well, this has not stopped fans from designing there own posters and villain types for the next movie. Many speculate The Riddler could be the next on the block but at this point anyone is still at large.

I have been rather absent of artistic posts lately so I believe I have the solution for you. A man from Australia named Josh, or known online as JoshWMC, has a blog called Fan Art Exhibit dedicated to his own interpretations and his own concepts of movies and comics and they are nothing short of spectacular. The next batman concepts and ideas are the coolest in my opinion. Either way, you should see them, great Photoshop manipulation and Illustrator work all around.

TV Show Spotlight #4 - DEXTER

Dexter is one of those TV shows you really need to watch in order to appreciate it fully. Now starting season 5 later this year, Dexter certainly has been the most successful over the other spotlights I have spoken of on the blog in terms of fans and viewers. The basic storyline starts simple and gradually grows making it easy for long term viewers but problematic for those who want to jump into the fray. I would say the weakness is essentially the other shows strengths and that is the lack of big guest stars or revolutionary ideas. Season 4 has some bigger names such as John Lithgow and overall such as Julie Benz but not much brews after that. Many of the shows were similar in format, Season 4 being the deviant pattern as they seemed to learn that the same format isn't always the best.

Based on Jeff Lindsay's novels Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter this crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Dade Police Department. He is the main support for his sister. He has a steady girlfriend, with two kids who adore him.… More He also has an active "night life". Based on a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don't get away with a crime again.

Nevertheless it is a quality show worthy of your time, if you have it these days with all the good jobs and opportunities you can get out there >.>

Civilization V Announced?! No Way....

2K Games just made the day a little brighter with the announcement of a brand new title in the best-selling Civilization series. Sid Meier's Civilization V, currently in development at Firaxis, will feature an "entirely new combat system, deeper diplomatic interactions, and a cavalcade of expanded features that deliver a fully immersive experience providing hours of enteratainment as players build and defend their empire on their quest to become the greatest ruler the world has ever known."

Perhaps most significantly for fans, the series is making the jump to hexagons rather than square tiles to "allow for deeper strategy, more realistic gameplay, and stunning organic landscapes." The entire game is being built on an entirely new engine that's being built from the ground up to bring players "closer to the Civ experience than ever." Diplomacy is handled full screen now, with full leader animations and appropriate languages. Players who aren't inclined towards negotiations will find that war feels "more massive" and includes ranged bombardment from behind front lines.

Civilization V will also include an "extensive suite of community, modding and multiplayer elements," and an "in-game community hub where Civ fans can share content and compete against each other." Quotes courtesy of Gamespy.

StarCraft II Beta is Awesome and... Oh, You Didn't Get In?

Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Morhaime proclaimed as part of a conference call with analysts and investors that the Starcraft II closed multiplayer beta test would start up this month. True to Morhaime's word, the Irvine, California-based studio announced today that the closed beta window has opened and it has begun sending out invitations to "thousands of gamers around the world."

In what Blizzard called "the first phase of the beta test," invitees will be afforded the chance to try out Starcraft II's much anticipated, though LAN-less, multiplayer component. Though the first installment in the trifurcated Starcraft II series, Wings of Liberty, will focus on the human Terran campaign in single-player mode, the multiplayer component will also let gamers wage interstellar real-time strategy warfare as the hivelike Zerg and technologically advanced Protoss factions.

The testing phase also gives eligible gamers the chance to check out Blizzard's overhaul to the Battle.net online gaming service. As detailed by vice president of game design Rob Pardo during last year's BlizzCon, the new Battle.net will offer gamers a variety of features, including persistent player profiles across all of Blizzard's games. The overhauled gaming platform will also feature improved matchmaking services and enhanced competitive gaming functionality.

Introducing Windows Mobile 7

Steve Ballmer took the stage at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to unveil Windows Phone 7 Series, Microsoft's latest mobile software that puts Windows and Xbox Live in the palm of gamers' hands.

Windows Phone 7 gives users web content on the go through various "hubs" which are focused on three major themes: People, Pictures, and Games. The Games hub delivers the first Xbox Live experience on a phone, including games, spotlight feed and the ability to see a gamer's avatar, Achievements and gamer profile. Ballmer said at Microsoft's website that:

"Windows Phone 7 Series was built from the ground up with entertainment in mind, and its unique design allowed us to bring some of the best gaming and community features of Xbox Live to the Windows mobile platform," Ron Pessner, general manager of Xbox Live Mobile, said in a statement. "It has always been our vision to expand the Xbox Live service to connect people to their games, entertainment and friends wherever they go, and the launch of Windows Phone 7 Series is an important step toward that goal."
